Anna Marsland

Dr. Anna Marsland is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Her research examines psychoneuroimmunological pathways linking psychological processes to physical health outcomes, with focus areas including stress-induced inflammation, asthma pathophysiology, and cognitive aging.

Her current investigations analyze how psychological stress impacts immune function and inflammatory processes, and how these mechanisms influence disease development and progression. She maintains active research on asthma comorbidities and cognitive decline associated with inflammatory markers.

Dr. Marsland mentors graduate students in health psychology and psychoneuroimmunology research methodologies.
