Anna Maria Raspolli Galletti is a Full Professor of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Pisa (UNIPI), where she heads the GreenCat Research Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry. She earned her PhD in Chemical Sciences from UNIPI in 1987 after graduating in Industrial Chemistry in 1982. Her extensive academic service includes roles as Department Deputy Head (2012-2016), President of the Industrial Chemistry Course (2014-2020), and multiple terms on the University Administration Board (2007-2021). Internationally, she has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Groningen and Institut National Politechnique of Toulouse.
Her research specializes in:
- Applied catalysis for industrial process innovation
- Biocatalytic conversion of renewable resources
- Sustainable reaction engineering using water media, microwave/ultrasonic activation
- Optimization of hydrogenation, carbonylation, and polymerization reactions
- Process and product safety enhancement
She holds leadership positions in the Italian Chemical Society as Vice President of its Industrial Chemistry Division and active membership in the Interdivisional Catalysis Group. Her laboratory (GreenCat Research Group) focuses on developing environmentally friendly catalytic technologies.
