Dr. Anna-Maria Pappa is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering, Khalifa University. She also holds a visiting scholar position at Cambridge University.

Her research focuses on bio-integrated electronics using conducting polymers and 2D materials, with applications in healthcare diagnostics and wearable devices. Current projects include:

- takeAbreath: Lab-on-facemask for stress monitoring
- 3D printed conducting polymer structures for biodegradable implants and strain sensors
She serves as an associate editor for Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Electronics, and Applied Physics Letters, and is affiliated with the Center for Catalysis and Separation and Healthcare Engineering Innovation Group.
