Anna Maria Häring

Anna Maria Häring is a Professor of Politics and Markets in Agricultural and Food Economics at the Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development (HNEE), where she has held a professorship since 2004. She serves as the Program Director for the BSc Organic Farming and Marketing program and acts as the HNEE representative for the Evaluation of the Agricultural and Food Sciences Council in Germany. Her academic career spans over two decades with significant contributions to sustainable agricultural systems research.

Professor Häring's research focuses on the sustainability transformation of agricultural and food sectors, with particular emphasis on innovation processes in agriculture, value chain development, and policy impact assessment. Her work bridges the gap between academic research and practical implementation through numerous collaborative projects with stakeholders across the food system. She employs transdisciplinary and participatory research methods to address complex challenges in sustainable food systems.
