Anna Korhonen is a Professor of Natural Language Processing at the University of Cambridge. She co-directs the Language Technology Laboratory (LTL), leads the Centre for Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence (CHIA), and co-founded the Institute for Technology and Humanity. A Senior Research Fellow at Churchill College, she is also a Fellow of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL) and ELLIS, and a former Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute.
Her research focuses on advancing NLP and AI technologies with a human-centric, equitable approach, emphasizing multilingualism, interpretability, and applications for social and global good (e.g., health, climate, biomedical sciences). She collaborates across disciplines, integrating insights from cognitive, social, and creative intelligence.
