Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska

Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska is an Assistant Professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, teaching in the Department of Rhythmics and Piano Improvisation within the Faculty of Choral Conducting and Vocal Studies, Music Education and Rhythmics. She serves as Vice-Dean of the Faculty (2016-2020 term) and was elected Senator of the university for the 2020-2024 term.

Her educational background includes:

• Composition studies at Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music (now Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) under Professor Włodzimierz Kotoński (diploma 1996)
• Rhythmics Department at Fryderyk Chopin Secondary School of Music No. 2 in Warsaw (Barbara Turska and Katarzyna Tomaszkiewicz) with Piano Improvisation specialization (Professor Sabolcs Esztényi)

Her creative research spans Music Composition, Music Education, and Rhythmics with specialized focus on Piano Improvisation, Electronic Music, and Multimedia Projects synthesizing arts through cross-disciplinary collaboration. She has co-authored EU-funded multimedia initiatives and developed pedagogical methods integrating improvisation techniques.

Her scientific recognition includes:

• International composition prizes from Saint Petersburg and Mikołów competitions
• Repeated ZAiKS creative scholarships (1999-2015)
• Cultural ministry and Institute of Music and Dance fellowships (2008-2015)

As an academic advisor, she supervised the Student Scientific-Artistic Circle (2012-2016) and served as juror for national composition competitions. Her professional service includes Senate membership and coordination of EU pedagogical training programs. She maintains active involvement with the Polish Composers’ Union leadership and electronic music societies while developing multimedia projects through the 'Spotkania Muzyczne' Foundation.
