Dr. Anna Horstmann serves as a Temporary Academic Councillor at Bielefeld University's Department of History within the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology. She is an active member of the Historical Cultures research group and holds speaking responsibilities within this unit. Dr. Horstmann also contributes to university governance through her involvement with the Commission for Equality between Women and Men and the Equal Opportunities Commission.
Her academic journey includes a Doctorate from Ruhr University Bochum with her dissertation "Women in the Laboratory: Female Chemists and Laboratory Technicians in the German Chemical Industry from 1900 to 1990" completed summa cum laude.
