Anna Drabczyk

Anna Drabczyk is a Researcher at the Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology within the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology. She holds a Master of Science degree in Light Organic Technology from the same institution (2016) and has completed postgraduate studies in Industrial Pharmacy at Jagiellonian University (2017) and Pedagogical Studies at Cracow University of Technology (2020).

Her research focuses on innovative synthetic methodologies with emphasis on green chemistry approaches including microwave-assisted and ultrasound-assisted reactions. Dr. Drabczyk specializes in developing novel synthesis methods for CNS-targeting pharmaceuticals, particularly serotonin receptor ligands, antidepressants, and antipsychotic drugs. Her work bridges organic synthesis with pharmaceutical applications, with significant contributions to the development of solvent-free and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.

Analysis of her publication record reveals consistent research in serotonin receptor ligands, particularly targeting 5-HT1A, 5-HT6, and 5-HT7 receptors, with applications in CNS disorders and cancer treatment. Dr. Drabczyk serves as Dean's Representative for Social Media and Supervisor of the Scientific Club of Chemistry and Drug Technology "Drug Design." She has completed scientific internships at TEVA Operations Poland, Center for Experimental and Innovative Medicine in Krakow, and ISEL in Lisbon, demonstrating strong international collaboration.
