Anna Dodonova is a Full Professor of Finance at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, since 2003. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan (2002) and prior degrees from Moscow State University and New Economic School. Her research focuses on behavioral finance, auction theory, and corporate finance, with publications in journals like Financial Review and Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance. She has received multiple awards, including the 2002 NFA Best PhD Paper Award and repeated Telfer Research Excellence Awards.
Her research explores behavioral aspects of investment decisions and auction dynamics. Recent work includes studies on takeover auctions, risk aversion in corporate debt-equity conflicts, and experimental analyses of incentive mechanisms. She actively secures research funding, including a SSHRC grant (2019–2024) on takeover auction mechanisms.
Teaching responsibilities include International Finance, Futures/Options, and Financial Management. Her funded research spans experimental economics, auction design, and corporate finance strategies.
