Anna Bunn is an Associate Professor at Curtin Law School and Associate Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child. Her expertise spans privacy law, tort law, and children’s rights in the digital age. She holds a PhD from the University of Notre Dame and degrees from Oxford University. Dr. Bunn has held leadership roles including Deputy Head of School (2019–2021) and Director of Learning & Teaching (2017–2019).
Her research focuses on the legal and policy challenges of the digital child, EdTech privacy, and image rights. Key projects include a $34.9M ARC-funded study on digital childhoods and qualitative investigations into youth image-sharing norms. She coordinates units in tort law within Curtin’s LLB program and has supervised four current PhD students.
Award-winning educator, Bunn has received national and university-level teaching honors, including Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2021). Her work bridges legal theory and practice, with submissions to parliamentary inquiries and policy consultations on privacy and digital rights.
