Anna Bowen

Anna Bowen is an Assistant Professor of Biology and Environmental Science at Whittier College, where she has been teaching since Fall 2020. She specializes in landscape ecology and invasive species management, leveraging interdisciplinary approaches to address ecological challenges.

Professor Bowen's research focuses on landscape ecology and conservation biology, with particular emphasis on invasive plant species and ecosystem restoration. Her work integrates experimental and observational studies with ecological modeling to understand invasion dynamics and sustainable management practices. At Whittier College, she explores the use of goat grazing to mitigate invasive species in degraded upland communities.
