Dr. hab. Anna Balas is a Professor at the Faculty of English, Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU), specializing in phonetics and phonology with a focus on speech perception, production, and vowel systems. She investigates second and third language acquisition, particularly Polish learners' phonetic challenges, and contributes to multilingual phonological research.
