Ann Wakefield

Ann Wakefield is an Honorary Professor of Nursing Education at The University of Manchester, holding roles since 1998. She leads initiatives in interprofessional education, patient safety, and nursing curriculum development. Her research employs ethnomethodology and qualitative methods to explore surgical nursing work, pain management, and healthcare collaboration. Notable contributions include a MOOC on research in health/social care and accreditation of a Singapore-based nursing program. Awards include Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2017).
