Dr. Ann Nugent is a Senior Lecturer in Dance at the University of Chichester Conservatoire, specializing in dance criticism and choreographic theory. Formerly a professional dancer with English National Ballet and Gothenburg Ballet, she transitioned into academia as a researcher, writer, and educator. Her work focuses on William Forsythe's choreography, postmodern theory, and the intersection of dance writing with embodied knowledge.
