Ann Gaba is Assistant Professor and founding Director of the Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. Holds an Ed.D in Nutrition Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Research focuses on nutrition education methodologies, dietetic workforce development, chronic disease nutrition, and nutritional management of movement disorders.
Publications examine nutritional approaches for Huntington's disease, media representations of nutrition information, dietetic education innovations, and nutritional epidemiology. Recent work analyzes pandemic-era recipe nutrition and health messaging about botanicals in legacy media.
Honors include Fellowship in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Herbert D. and Nylda Gemple Research Award. Contributes to professional resources including the Academy's Nutrition Care Manual and authoritative guides on nutrition communication.
