Anke Simon

Professor Anke Simon serves as Dean of the Faculty of Business (FB 4) at Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, where she has been Professor of Business Mathematics and Statistics since March 2008. Her academic leadership spans over 17 years at the institution, formerly known as Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences.

Her educational background includes a Doctorate in Mathematics from Ruhr University Bochum (1996-2000), a Mathematics degree with minor in Business Information Systems from the same institution (1990-1996), and formal training as a mathematical-technical assistant at Hoesch AG. Prior to her professorship, she accumulated significant industry experience at DHL IT, Lufthansa Systems, and Heyde AG.

Professor Simon's research focuses on applied mathematical frameworks for business contexts, particularly data analysis and management systems.
