Dr. Anke Osigus is a Lecturer at the Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. Her research focuses on pre-modern Arabic literature, particularly the Mamluk period, including narrative prose like the 1001 Nights, manuscriptology, and animals in Arab culture.

She has also collaborated on exhibitions and cataloging Friedrich Rückert’s orientalist estate.
