Anke Hoeffler is a Professor of Development Research at the Department of Politics & Public Administration at the University of Konstanz. Her research focuses on the social causes of excess morbidity and mortality, with interdisciplinary collaborations on violence-related topics. She leads the project "Agents of Social Change: Female empowerment in India" and is a research affiliate at the International Security and Development Center (ISDC) since March 2020.

Her research integrates public health, gender studies, and political economy to address systemic social challenges.
