Dr. Anke Henning is Professor and Director of the Advanced Imaging Research Center at UT Southwestern with secondary appointment in Radiology, holding the Diane and Hal Brierley Distinguished Chair.
Research focuses on ultra-high field MRI technology development for brain, spinal cord, and cardiac imaging. Key areas include metabolic mapping via MR spectroscopy and non-proton imaging for disease visualization.
Current projects investigate glioblastoma imaging, psychiatric disorders, and cardiac metabolism using advanced 7T and 9.4T MRI systems with novel RF coil designs and parallel transmission techniques.
Honors include CPRIT Scholar in Cancer Research. Leads multiple clinical studies in brain cancer, spinal injury, and cardiac pathophysiology.
