Anja van Dijken

Anja van Dijken is a researcher and educator at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Utrecht University. Her work focuses on plant-microbe interactions, hormonal signaling networks, and metabolic regulation in plant development and stress responses.

Her research explores gene regulatory mechanisms in plant immunity, including the role of jasmonic acid and abscisic acid pathways, as well as trehalose metabolism in carbon utilization and embryo maturation. She also investigates how rhizosphere microbiomes modulate plant immune responses through pH-regulated interactions.
