Anja Tippner is a Professor of Slavic Literature at the University of Hamburg since 2011. She previously held academic positions at Paris Lodron-University Salzburg (2006-2011), Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel (1995-2006), and Charles University Prague (1990-1992). Her research spans Holocaust literatures, Jewish Eastern European literatures, catastrophe narratives, surrealism, and translation studies.
