Dr. Anja Rott is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton, affiliated with the School of Applied Sciences and the Ecology, Conservation and Society Research Excellence Group. Her roles include teaching, research leadership, and supervising postgraduate students. She holds a Senior Fellowship of the HE Academy (2017).
- Education: PhD in Indirect Interactions in Host-Parasitoid Communities (Imperial College London, 1996), Zoology degree (India/Germany).
Research interests focus on entomological ecology, tri-trophic interactions, population dynamics, and microplastics' ecological impacts. She explores biodiversity in urban landscapes, dung beetle communities, and pollination ecology. Recent work includes studies on microplastics in marine invertebrates and tick distribution in the South Downs National Park.
