Prof. Dr. Anja Amend-Traut holds the Chair of German and European Legal History, Canon Law, and Civil Law at the University of Würzburg. Her research focuses on historical legal frameworks, particularly the Nuremberg Commercial Court project funded by the German Research Foundation since 2015. She explores intersections between native German law, received Roman law, and commercial customs in pre-modern trade.
