Anita Bernstein is the Anita and Stuart Subotnick Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School, where she specializes in tort law, feminist jurisprudence, and products liability. She holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from Queens College. Her research explores intersections of gender, legal theory, and sociolegal systems, with notable works on reproductive anatomy law and pharmaceutical liability. Professor Bernstein has authored over 100 articles and books, including The Common Law Inside the Female Body (2019) and Making the Best of Semen (forthcoming 2025). Her scholarly contributions have influenced U.S. and international legal frameworks. Recognized with the William L. Prosser Award and a Fulbright Scholarship, she advises on the American Law Institute's Torts Restatements.
