Anique K. Forrester

Dr. Anique K. Forrester is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She serves as Director of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship and Chief of Departmental Engagement. Her administrative roles include coordinating the Cultural Psychiatry resident course. She completed her MD at Howard University and advanced training in Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Research focuses on Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Cultural Competence, Psycho-Oncology, and Women's Mental Health. She leads multidisciplinary approaches to complex psychiatric conditions and advocates for underrepresented groups in academia. Notable publications address xenotransplantation ethics, multicultural medical education, and anti-NMDAR encephalitis management.
