Dr Angus Paddison is a Reader in Theology and Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of Winchester. He holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has held academic roles at the Universities of Gloucestershire, Nottingham, and Winchester. His research focuses on contemporary theology, particularly theologians like Stanley Hauerwas, Rowan Williams, and John Howard Yoder, with a strong emphasis on theology's intersection with politics and scripture interpretation.
Education: Studied at Cambridge University and the University of Glasgow. Academic qualifications include doctoral training in theology.
Research Interests: Explores theological interpretation of Scripture, the role of theology in public policy, and the political dimensions of ecclesiology. He has supervised PhD students on topics ranging from Christian unity theology to bioethics and Anglican theology.
