Angie Hensley is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. A licensed marriage and family therapist in California and Tennessee, she specializes in somatic and eco-approaches to psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and pedagogy. Her work integrates bodily knowing, nature-based healing, expressive arts, and ritual into therapeutic and educational practices.
Education: BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (2007), MA in Counseling Psychology (2010), and PhD in Human Sexuality (2024), all from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She holds certifications from the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy and The International Focusing Institute.
Research focuses on mind-body wellness methodologies, particularly heuristic research and felt-sense approaches. She stewards 20 acres of land on Cherokee ancestral territory, hosting retreats and workshops through the Terre Madre Retreat initiative.
