Angelos Stavrou

Angelos Stavrou is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech and Entrepreneurship Lead at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus. He founded Kryptowire Inc. (now Quokka Inc.), a mobile security startup. His research focuses on large systems security, intrusion detection, and privacy-preserving technologies. Stavrou has authored over 140 peer-reviewed articles and secured grants from NSF, DARPA, and DHS. Notable awards include the IEEE Reliability Society Engineer of the Year (2013) and multiple research excellence awards from George Mason University.
