Angelos Kassianos

Angelos Kassianos is a Senior Research Fellow at University College London’s Department of Applied Health Research and a researcher at the University of Cyprus, spanning the Departments of Psychology (ACT healthy lab) and Computer Science (eHealth lab). His work focuses on health psychology, public health, and behavioral medicine, with an emphasis on bio-psycho-social determinants of disease prevention (particularly cancer), vaccination hesitancy, and digital health interventions.

He leads projects funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) of Cyprus, Cancer Research UK, and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). Notable recognitions include the US YTILI Fellowship (2017), EHPS Early Career Award (2018), and Cyprus RIF Young Researcher Award (2020).

His research integrates psychology, computer science, and public health, with a focus on translating findings into actionable digital tools. He has contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed publications and presented globally, including an invited talk at the European Parliament on mobile health.
