Dr. Angelle Sander is Professor and Director of the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at Baylor College of Medicine, where she also serves as Section Chief of Neuropsychology and Psychology. She holds additional appointments as Director & Senior Scientist at TIRR Memorial Hermann's Brain Injury Research Center and Neuropsychologist at Harris Health System.
Her research focuses on neuropsychological outcomes following traumatic brain injury (TBI), including cognitive rehabilitation, emotional adjustment, sexual functioning, and community reintegration. She develops and evaluates interventions for psychological distress and examines healthcare disparities in rehabilitation outcomes.
Dr. Sander has received numerous awards including Fellowship in the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Research Excellence Award from Baylor College of Medicine, and the William Fields Caveness Award from the Brain Injury Association of America. She leads multicenter studies through the TBI Model Systems program.
