About
Angelique de Ron serves as a lecturer-researcher at the Involved Science research group within the Centre of Expertise Perspective in Health at Avans University of Applied Sciences, where she has worked for three years following over 35 years of clinical experience in mental health care as a nurse practitioner, complaints mediator, and peer supervision facilitator.
Her research centers on community-driven health initiatives through the West Brabant Regional Deal project, which engages residents in identifying needs for self-reliance and community support to improve health outcomes, environmental sustainability, social trust, and livelihoods by mapping citizen-led health initiatives across the region.
As an educator, de Ron teaches clinical reasoning, conversational skills, quality assurance, and the Positive Psychiatry minor to nursing students while serving as an internship instructor and study career counselor to bridge academic training with practical research opportunities.
She operates within the Involved Science research group focused on participatory health approaches and contributes to the West Brabant Regional Deal as a collaborative effort between the university, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to strengthen local health ecosystems.
