Angelica Ly

Dr Angelica Ly is a Senior Lecturer in Posterior Eye Therapeutics at UNSW Sydney, affiliated with the School of Optometry and Vision Science. She holds a PhD in Vision Science from UNSW (2018) and has extensive clinical and academic experience, including roles as Lead Clinician (Macula) at the Centre for Eye Health (2019-2021) and Principal Research Optometrist at the Brien Holden Vision Institute (2021-2022). Her research focuses on macular degeneration, ocular imaging, and integrated care models. She has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers, secured $500K+ in research funding, and actively teaches in optometry courses. Awards include the 2020 Optometry NSW/ACT Women's Day Nomination and multiple scholarships.
