Angeles Mendoza

Angeles Mendoza is an academic and professional biologist affiliated with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she served as an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Ecology's Laboratory of Ecology and Conservation of Wildlife for ten years and as a Lecturer in the Department of Geography for five years, teaching Hydrology and Conservation of Natural Resources. She also established and led the National Coordination of Ecology-Mountain Protection at the Mexican Federation of Mountain Sports for five years.

She specializes in environmental management systems, multi-criteria analysis, and stakeholder engagement in multi-level governance frameworks. Her work also addresses corporate social responsibility and the evaluation of management effectiveness in ecological contexts.

Angeles holds certifications in conflict mediation, negotiation, and consensus decision-making. She volunteers as an environmental advisor and mediator for communities in Canada and Mexico. Professional affiliations include the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists and memberships in the IUCN’s World Commission on Protected Areas and the International Association for Impact Assessment.
