Dr. Angela M. Crawley is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Biology at Carleton University and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Ottawa. She holds a BSc from McGill University and a PhD from the University of Guelph. Her research focuses on understanding immune dysfunction in chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, particularly how HCV impairs CD8+ T-cell function and its relationship with liver fibrosis progression. Her work also explores the impact of antiviral therapies and potential vaccine strategies against HCV.
Dr. Crawley's research is supported by grants including CIHR New Investigator Award, OHTN Junior Investigator Development Award, and an NSERC Discovery Grant.
