Angela M Yoder

Angela M Yoder is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Higher Education at Eastern Illinois University. Her primary teaching emphasis lies in Community Counseling, and she has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

• M.S. and B.S. from Gallaudet University and Eastern Illinois University

Research interests include:

• Foster parenting
• Play therapy
• Sexual abuse of children
• Attachment disorders
• Adaptation of Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) for senior citizen volunteers

Her recent publications focus on play therapy accessibility for children with physical disabilities, creative expression group therapy for female adolescents, and intergenerational therapeutic interventions in school settings. She has received recognition as a 2022-23 ACA Recipient and contributes to professional discourse through peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
