About
Dr. Angela Lees is a Research Fellow and Lecturer in the School of Environmental and Rural Science at the University of New England. Her research focuses on animal biometeorology, particularly the impacts of climatic conditions on livestock productivity and welfare. She specializes in heat stress mitigation strategies for cattle, dairy cows, sheep, and breeding bulls.
Current research investigates shade solutions for feedlot cattle in temperate environments. Her work has developed heat load prediction models for multiple livestock species and examined testicular thermoregulation during whole-body heat stress exposure. Research outputs span physiological responses, behavioral adaptations, and endocrine changes during thermal challenges.
