Dr. Angela L. Stotts is a Professor and Vice Chair for Research at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She serves as Director of the Behavioral Health and Addiction Research Program in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and holds cross-appointments in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Center for Clinical Research and Evidence-Based Medicine.
Dr. Stotts' research focuses on:
- Development and evaluation of behavioral treatments for substance use disorders
- Pharmacological interventions for addiction
- Specialized approaches for maternal and child populations
- Interventions to reduce secondhand smoke exposure in vulnerable families
