Angela Kramer

Angela Kramer is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science at the University of Maryland. Her work centers on physical therapy and strength and conditioning, integrating clinical practice with rehabilitation science to improve patient care. Kramer holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Boston University and has dedicated her career to advancing clinical education and advocacy in physical therapy.

Angela Kramer’s research interests span Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Science, and Strength and Conditioning. Her clinical focus includes optimizing physical therapy practice locations and enhancing patient outcomes through evidence-based approaches. She has accumulated 328 contact hours of continuing education in physical therapy since 2000, underscoring her commitment to professional development.

Kramer’s teaching service included mentoring physical therapist students and a PT assistant student from 2002–2003, combining hands-on clinical instruction with structured training. She has also held administrative roles, such as serving as the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (2002–2003), and advocated for direct access to physical therapy for Medicare beneficiaries during 2004 Capitol Hill lobbying efforts.

Her certifications include a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2002–present). She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (1997–2008) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (2003–2004).
