Angela Haendel

Dr. Angela Haendel is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology (SPPA) at Marquette University. She also serves as Program Assessment Leader (PAL) for the SPPA department and participates in the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) curriculum committee and the Interprofessional Education (IPE) committee.

• Education: B.S.E. from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, M.S. from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Ph.D. from Marquette University

Dr. Haendel’s research focuses on autism, social language, animal-assisted therapy, and fluency. She has over 12 years of clinical experience in public school settings and private practice, specializing in teletherapy/telehealth. Her academic roles include teaching courses such as Introduction to Speech-Language Pathology, Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech Mechanism, and Procedures in School Settings.
