Angela Gardner

Angela F. Gardner, M.D., is Professor and Chief of Operations, Quality, and Patient Safety in Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern. As 2009-2010 President of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), she helped shape the Affordable Care Act and received national recognition including Modern Healthcare's 'Top 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare'.

Her leadership extends to the National Trauma Institute, Texas Medical Association, and Texas College of Emergency Physicians, where she helped achieve landmark tort reform. An active policy commentator through blogs and social media (@ACEPheadliner), she chaired ACEP's National Report Card Task Force evaluating emergency medical systems nationwide.
