Professor Angela Dawson is a public health social scientist and Associate Dean (Research) at the Faculty of Health, University of Technology Sydney. Her research focuses on maternal and reproductive health service delivery to priority populations in Australia and low-income countries, with expertise in refugee health, Indigenous health, and gender-based violence interventions.
Her research examines:
- Delivery of reproductive health services in humanitarian emergencies
- Management of domestic violence cases
- Access to abortion and emergency contraception
- Female genital mutilation counseling
- Indigenous health and drug/alcohol services
