Angela Carlin is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director at the School of Sport and Exercise Science, Faculty of Life and Health Sciences, Ulster University. She holds a PhD and BSc from Ulster University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Her research focuses on designing interventions to increase youth physical activity, analyzing lifecycle determinants, and integrating technology to reduce sedentary behavior. She leads the Y-PATH NI project and contributes to international initiatives like EUMOVE. Her work aligns with UN SDG4 (Quality Education) and SDG3 (Good Health).
Recent research trends include systematic reviews (2017), meta-analyses (2019), and large-scale report card development (2022). Key publications address: blood pressure effects of exercise patterns, cross-border health interventions, university student wellness, and environmental determinants of activity.
