Angela H. Brown (she/they) is a Visiting Fellow at Bard Graduate Center in Fall 2024. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, focusing on textiles, archival practices, and art pedagogies in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Research interests include material approaches to modernity, coloniality, and indigeneity through mid-20th-century weaving practices in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the US. Her work bridges decorative arts, design history, and transnational cultural narratives.
