Angela Bies

Angela Bies is an Endowed Associate Professor of Global Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Maryland's School of Public Policy, where she also serves as PhD Program Director. She holds senior affiliations with the Do Good Institute and Institute for Public Leadership. Previously, she chaired the faculty and directed international programs at Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Her research explores global philanthropy and NGO leadership, focusing on international philanthropic issues and leadership development through immersive field experiences. Her program offers students transformative opportunities to engage with global philanthropic challenges through the School of Public Policy.
