Ángel Pérez Ruzafa is a Full Professor of Ecology at the University of Murcia, affiliated with the Faculty of Biology and the Department of Ecology and Hydrology. His research focuses on coastal lagoon ecosystems, marine biodiversity, and environmental management. He earned his PhD in 1989 with a thesis on the Mar Menor lagoon's benthic ecosystems.
