About
Ang Sun is Associate Professor of Research and Teaching in Temple University's Department of Biology, directing the Genetics, Epigenetics & Microbiome Program at the Sbarro Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Biology with additional certifications in drug development and bioinformatics.
Research investigates microbiota-epigenetics interactions in colorectal cancer, cellular senescence, and aging processes. Methodologies integrate microbiome analysis, metabolite profiling, and epigenetic regulation studies to identify oncogenic mechanisms.
Sun teaches biostatistics and R programming while maintaining active peer-review contributions for eight journals. His lab employs molecular biology and computational approaches to study smoke toxicity and cellular aging pathways.
