Mr. Ang Song Nian is a Lecturer in the Photography department at the School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His artistic practice explores human interactions with landscapes through photographic documentation and installation art, emphasizing microscopic approaches to conceptual inquiry. He holds a Bachelor's degree from UAL Camberwell College of Arts and a Master's from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
Ang has exhibited internationally, including solo shows at Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (2019), DECK (Singapore), Sunderland University Priestman Gallery (2017), and group exhibitions at Singapore Art Museum, PhotoEspaña Festival (Spain), and Lianzhou International Photo Festival (China). His work has earned prestigious awards such as the Canon New Cosmos of Photography Grand Prize (2018) and Noise Singapore Photography Prize (2012).
He founded THEBOOKSHOW in 2014, a platform supporting self-published photobooks for artists. His research interests bridge documentary photography, spatial narratives, and contemporary art curation.
