Andy Towers

Associate Professor Andy Towers serves as Co-Director of the Mental Health & Addiction Programme at Massey University's School of Health Sciences. He is a Doctoral Supervisor and active researcher within the Health & Ageing Research Team, managing the government-funded New Zealand Health, Work & Retirement Longitudinal Study.

His research specializes in alcohol and other drug use across the lifespan, with three core emphases: mental health and quality of life trajectories, primary health care interventions for alcohol use, and community-dwelling older adults' consumption patterns.
