Andy Taylor

Andy Taylor is a Senior Lecturer in Acting for Film at the University of Chichester Conservatoire. He graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 1983. His professional career spans extensive theatre work (1983–1998) including roles in musicals like Chicago and Shakespearean plays such as Othello. He has appeared in numerous television series and films, including Red Dwarf, Harry Enfield’s Television Programme, and My Family.

• Worked with Talkback Productions (1986–present) on TV/radio commercials
• Co-founded Hilair Productions (1990)
• Wrote corporate films for IBM, British Airways, and Video Arts Training

Specializes in voice acting, notably as Captain Sarcastic for commercials. Has directed two short films for the Acting for Film (AFF) course: Feast or Famine (2018) and Chanctonbury (2021).

Notable professional milestones include a banned BBC episode of On the Blog (2002) and collaborations on projects like The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
