Andy Tan is an Associate Professor of Communication at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on advancing health equity through communication science, particularly addressing disparities in marketing, media effects, and public health messaging among LGBTQ+ populations, youth, and socioeconomically disadvantaged groups. He directs the Health Communication & Equity Lab and emphasizes community-engaged research to design culturally appropriate interventions.
